Volvo to Launch Hydrogen-Powered Trucks →

Trucks that run on green hydrogen instead of fossil fuels provide one way to decarbonize transport. Hydrogen trucks will be especially suitable over longer distances and in regions where there is limited charging infrastructure, or time for, recharging of batteries. Kevin Athmann, beam welder operator, joined the Felling Trailers team in November of 1999, initially working with the Finishing team, and then transitioned to weld production. "I was in Finishing for a couple of months when my dad, Vern Athmann, lead welder in the deck over trailers, asked me to help in bay 16 welding," said Athmann.
